Ivan Rushmer

Ivan Rushmer founded whitelabelgps, a GPS tracking platform that tracking companies run under their own brand to provide fleet tracking, dashcam video and asset monitoring to their clients.

Telematics since 2014

His telematics career began in 2014. Since then his work has covered GPS tracking services, software engineering and the design of tracking hardware, which gives him a working knowledge of both the devices installed in vehicles and the servers that receive their data.

He keeps close ties with several major telematics manufacturers and has worked extensively in China, the source of a large share of the world's GPS tracking devices, where he has co-developed new trackers with factories.

Building the platform

As a full-stack developer, he has worked on every layer of the platform: device communication, the server infrastructure, the web portal and the mobile app.

Under his direction, whitelabelgps supports 4,800 device types from manufacturers such as Teltonika, Concox and Queclink, so its operators can choose the hardware that suits their market. Each operator runs on a dedicated server with its own brand and domain, and offers live tracking, dashcam video, fuel and sensor monitoring, reports and WhatsApp self-service to its clients.

The aim is simple: give a tracking company of any size the tools of the largest providers, under its own name, without building the software itself.
